GamesIndustry.biz launches Network
GI's launched its Network social tool thing, and very nice it is too. Not s**t in any way, from the look of it. Valuable, even. There are people on there we actually would want to speak to. Good work. Look. Sign up, if you're in the "biz".

The GamesIndustry.biz Network launches
Press Release
Brighton, England, May 12th, 2008: GamesIndustry.biz is proud to announce the launch of the GamesIndustry.biz Network, a business networking tool that allows games industry professionals to connect with each other.
GamesIndustry.biz has long been regarded as the most important games industry website for news, features and jobs, but today’s launch is its first step in becoming the hub of the vibrant global games industry community.
Unlike other social networks, it's not just about talking to your existing contacts. It's an opportunity to get in touch with new people across the globe to create genuine business opportunities. The network is only open and visible to established members of the games industry and you can be sure that the contacts you make will be relevant to the business of games.
Using the Network's events section, you will be able to make the most of hectic trade shows by finding out who else is attending and arrange to meet them. The first of these partnered events is the Nordic Game Conference and Career Expo 2008, taking place later this week in Malmo, Sweden. As part of GamesIndustry.biz’s long-running partnership with Nordic Game, the network will be hosting a meeting place for event delegates as well as sponsoring the evening’s drinks reception.
GamesIndustry.biz will also be organising regular social events via the network - make sure you are signed up so you don't miss out.
