Gamers Universe staff laid off, editorial side "dropped"

Update: We've been told that Gamers Universe hasn't gone bust in fact, but that the content side of the site is being "dropped."
VG247's learnt that all UK Gamers Universe staff have been laid off this week, and that the site itself has gone bust.
The venture was funded by Greek backers, who've apparently decided the cash stops here.
Gamers Universe launched this year, and sponsored April's MCV Awards.
We're hoping to clarify the situation over the coming week.
