Game of Thrones season 4 premiere highlights Foxtel Play PS3 launch in Australia
PlayStation Australia today announced the launch of Foxtel Play on PlayStation 3, with a PS4 version coming soon - just in time for the Game of Thrones season 4 premiere.
Foxtel Play is the cable TV provider's web offering, and subscribers are now able to access it through a newly-launched app on their PS3 consoles.
The service includes drama, entertainment, documentary and movie channels, with both live programming and on-demand available, including complete seasons. There's no lock-in contract; access is instant; and subscription packages are offered on a monthly, pay-as-you-go basis, meaning you can tune in for your favourite shows and unsubscribe when you're not interested without ongoing fees.

There are 45 live channels on offer including Fox Sports 1, 2 and 3, various movie channels, showcase, FOX8, Arena, Lifestyle, History, Discovery, A&E, National Geographic, UKTV, FX, SoHo, MTV, Universal Channel, ESPN, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel.
PlayStation Australia is pretty pleased to be able to offer this ahead of the local Game of Thrones season 4 premiere on April 7, so it lured us out and fed us a medieval feast to celebrate the news. Full disclosure: I ate a beef rib and now have an upset stomach from too much rich food. Also: I had my picture taken holding a sword next to Sackboy, who was sitting on the iron throne. I'm sorry.
