GAME announces Gamefest consumer show for UK

As per a CVG report, UK retailer GAME has announced it's to launch a gaming consumer show in the UK in September this year.

The news came out of the BAFTAs in London last night; GAME MD Martin Gibbs announced the show and its title at the event.

The first Gamefest will be held on September 16-18 at the Birmingham NEC.

"We promise this is not a money spinning venture," Gibbs said, adding that the intention is to help the industry's leading lights "be first to consumers".

The show will seemingly be the second major consumer show for the year-end in the UK, coming slightly before the Eurogamer Expo in London on September 22-25.
