Gaikai signs EA, moves into 2011
Gaikai has announced it's struck a multi-year deal with EA to include some of its more popular PC titles when the service launches.
Games include Battlefield: Bad Company, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Medal of Honor, Need for Speed, The Sims, and more to be determined.
"EA has some of the most important franchises in the videogame industry, and we're excited to be able to use our streaming technology to help new audiences discover these amazing properties," said co-founder David Perry.
"We are also excited to be powering a cutting-edge digital strategy with EA developers."
Gaikai co-founder Andrew Gault told Develop that he and Perry's service is looking to launch sometime "in the next year or so".
“We’d like to do it tomorrow but it’s all about picking you battles. I think we’d like to start it in a year or so, all the company’s founders would like to target that," he said.
Gaikai's cloud-service rival OnLive launched yesterday.
