Fruit Ninja turns two, 300 million players playing

Halfbrick's announced the two-year anniversary of Fruit Ninja, with other stats to celebrate the anniversary.

In the two years the game has existed, 300 million players have played the game, 50 billion combos have been scored, 1.5 trillion pieces of fruit sliced and combined time players spent in the game in its first 24 hours has been 100+ hours.

Fruit Ninja's been recognised as the second biggest-selling game on iOS ever. Halfbrick chief marketing officer Phil Larsen's promised more in the IP and for other big name Jetpack Joyride.

"We have plenty more tricks up our sleeves, including more Fruit Ninja updates, continued expansion of our latest blockbuster hit Jetpack Joyride and a new batch of games to come in the future," said Larsen.

"We're showing the world how Aussie creativity can make a huge impact on games worldwide."

Fruit Ninja is out now on iOS, Android and Xbox Live Arcade for Kinect.
