Frontier would be "stupid" not to consider Xbox One, PS4 Elite: Dangerous
Elite: Dangerous is more than likely to appear on PS4 and Xbox One consoles after release on PC.
Reading between the lines of this Eurogamer interview with Frontier's David Braben, he suggests it's more than possible considering the company's history with console gaming.
"I don't want to do something that constitutes an announcement, but we would be stupid not to support other platforms, including console," he said.
"We've done lots and lots of games over time. We've done first-party Sony games. We've done first party Microsoft games. On console. So yes, we'd be stupid not to think about it.
David Braben isn't stupid. He's a very clever man who leads a team that makes very nice games. At this point in time though, the team is concentrating on the PC version of Elite: Dangerous.
"We're very focused on delivering a great PC game. We will then do the game on Mac and during that time we will be looking at other platforms as well," he added.
Elite: Dangerous is currently in a beta test which costs £50 - £100 to buy into. You probably don't want to upset PC players by talking about a console game if they're paying you to test your game for you.
