FreeStyleGames has issued a "no comment" on whether or not DJ Hero 2 is in development.

Speaking with GamerZines, creative director Jamie Jackson declined comment when asked during an interview about development on the project.

The franchise's commercial director, Chris Lee offered the following comment:

"We can't comment. To be honest, you can tell that there are a lot of people working on a lot of stuff and we want the franchise to continue," he said.

"A lot of the focus since launch has been on DLC, but it's also been thinking about what's next and what we could do. We're not quite in a position to announce what we're doing yet, but we're busy!"

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick mentioned during the company's last financial call to investors that DJ Hero 2 would be released this year, but according to a representative speaking with GZ: "in terms of confirmation of specifics we can't comment further."

Back in January, Activision sent out a press release during music trade event MIDEM 2010 that DJ Hero 2 was in planning and that it was currently scouting for talent.
