Forza Horizon 4 Removes the "Floss" and "Carlton" Emotes Amidst High-Profile Lawsuits

Playground Games has removed the "Floss" and "Carlton" emotes from Forza Horizon 4. The move comes off the heels of a series of lawsuits against Epic Games for using the same emotes in Fortnite Battle Royale.
In the latest update for Forza Horizon 4, Playground Games announced that the "Carlton" and "Floss" avatar emotes are no longer available in the game. In recent months, several inspirations for dance emotes have begun issuing lawsuits against Fortnite for using their recognized dances in the game without their permission.
The first notable lawsuit came from musician 2 Milly over the "Milly Rock" dance. Alfonso Ribeiro of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fame also filed a lawsuit against Epic Games over the use of his "Carlton" dance. Scrubs star Donald Faison—whose improvised dance from the show is the "default" emote in Fortnite—expressed disappointment that Epic Games would use his dance without credit.
Though Playground Games didn't specify why the "Floss" and "Carlton" avatar emotes were removed from Forza Horizon 4, that one of the emotes removed is also the center of a legal battle between Epic Games and Alfonso Ribeiro suggests that has something to do with it.
