Forza Horizon 3: how to unlock the Halo Warthog without a code
Grab Master Chief's buggy and tear it around the outback.
Forza Horizon is the chilled out brother of Forza Motorsport, with an emphasis on donuts and drifting through the jungle rather than shaving milliseconds off racing around the Nurburgring.
Which is why as well as 350+ utes, rally cars, buggies, sports and supercars, you can also cruise around in Halo's iconic Warthog. There are a couple of ways to get it, one easy, one also pretty easy, but you'll need to be a little patient if you don't have it on launch day.
Firstly, if you've played Halo 5: Guardians or Halo: The Master Chief Collection prior to release, Microsoft should have mailed you a code to enter and unlock the legendary Warthog. That code will have been sent to you last month and downloaded when you install Forza Horizon 3 on your Xbox One.
If you're not a fan of Master Chief or just haven't gotten around to playing a Halo game on Xbox One yet, you'll just need to take part in a Forzathon event.
These events will kick off during the next couple of months for a limited time with different prizes for completing them. Unfortunately, you'll need to wait patiently for the event to happen in either October or November. Microsoft has yet to announce when it will take place, so keep an eye out - and we'll update this story when we have a fixed date.
The event in particular will give you the Looks More Like a Puma achievement and unlocks the Warthog. To grab this you need to win a game of King and Flag Rush in an Extreme Off-Road vehicle. Do both of those and you'll unlock the Warthog.
In preparation for that, why not find an Off-Road vehicle using our guide to the hidden Barn Finds vehicles.
Forza Horizon 3 is released on PC and Xbox One September 27.
