Fortnite's suppressed sniper rifle is coming to Battle Royale
It looks like a suppressed sniper rifle is on its way into Fortnite's Battle Royale.
Fortnite dataminer Lucas7yoshi has discovered a weapon model and sound files that indicates that Save the World's suppressed sniper rifle could be making its way to Battle Royale.
The suppressed sniper is referred to as Athena in the files, but exists as Frostbite in Save the World, and isn't known for being particularly powerful.
Stats for the weapon have also been leaked, but as with any of these details, they may be subject to change.
The Epic variant will have 100 damage and a reload time of 2.85 seconds. The Legendary variant will mete out 105 damage and have a 2.7 second reload time. The rifle may possibly have a headshot multiplier of 2.5, but Lucas7yoshi notes that they "can't say for certain".
It's likely that the gun will be available after next week's patch, but we'll have to wait and see.
