Fortnite Upgrade Bench locations - swap materials for better equipment
Ever wished you would stop getting stuck with low-rarity guns in Fortnite? Well with the start of Chapter 2 Season 1, you can swap your junky weaponry at an Upgrade Bench - along with some materials - for a sparkling new one!
These Upgrade Benches are scattered all throughout Fortnite’s brand-new map, so we’ve made a list of all the locations we’ve found so far!
Grabbing better rarity guns can often mean the difference between a Victory Royale and taking the L, since Legendary guns usually have better damage and range than their common cousins.
The amount of materials you need to make the upgrade changes as the rarity increases. For example, changing an Uncommon gun into a Rare one takes 150 wood, brick, and metal. Whereas changing a Rare gun into an Epic one takes 250 wood, brick, and metal.
Where to find Upgrade Benches in Fortnite
- Dirty Docks
There’s an Upgrade Bench in the north of Dirty Docks, in the disused workshop.
- Pleasant Park
You can also find an Upgrade Bench in the gas station in the east of Pleasant Park.
- Retail Row
Next, there’s another Upgrade Bench in the southeast of Retail Row, inside the building with a chain-link fence around it.
- Between Steamy Stacks and Dirty Docks
You can find another hidden Upgrade Bench to the south of Steamy Stacks and north of Dirty Docks - just next to the road that runs between the two.
Swapping out your bad guns for better ones will help you to more effectively climb the season tiers, as you earn medals in pursuit of skins and other goodies from the Battle Pass.
And not to be outdone by previous seasons, there are still plenty of challenges to complete in Chapter 2 of Fortnite, like finding the letter F from the Week 1 Loading Screen.
