Fortnite: Time Played stat disabled to combat server stress, new board tracks current issues
A few issues have arose since Fortnite Season 3 went live this week.
On Thursday when Season 3 of Fortnite Battle Royale was made available, it was taken offline 15 minutes later.
Luckily, Fortnite was back online a few hours later, but some other issues persisted.
One of the issues faced since Season 3 went live, was wins not counting towards players stats. Epic identified a fix on Friday evening, and resolved the issue around noon today. Unfortunately, any wins earned during the down period will not be added player stats.
At present, the Fortnite team has disabled the “Time Played” stat temporarily. This was done to help alleviate stress on the back-end services. An update will be provided when it has been enabled again.
There are other issues being tracked at present, and to keep up with everything, Epic has launched a Public Fortnite Trello board which provides an easy way to track community issues being investigated.
Other sections include those the team needs more information on, or have fixed for both Battle Royale and Save the World.
Epic said it will be updating the board frequently. It's a very convenient spot to find all the information you need in one place. Head over there now and take a look.
Fortnite players can unlock all sorts of fun things in Season 3, including a John Wick outfit. No, you won't look like Keanu Reeves. Sorry.
Season 3 also brings with it a new Hand Cannon for Battle Royale mode. If you have yet to grab Season 3, here's a look at the Fortnite update 3.0.0 patch notes.
