Fortnite: Where to find the secret Season 4 free Battle Pass tier at the Prison
The new season of Fortnite is packed with secrets, and not just in hidden corners of the map. Once you’ve completed all of the Season 4 Week 1 challenges, there’s a secret free Battle Pass tier that you can unlock.
When you’ve finished all of the first week challenges - which completes the first Blockbuster challenge as well - a spinning golden Battle Star, similar to the one that appears at the Tomato Town treasure map location, will become visible on top of one of the towers at the Prison. You can see the secret Battle Star in the new loading screen called “Quiet on the Set!” that you get for completing all of the week’s challenges.
Collecting the Star grants you one free tier towards your Battle Pass progress.

The Prison is a popular landing spot, so it might be tricky to make your way up to the Star if you don’t land on top of it straight away. If you do miss it though, there are hop crystals in the centre of the of the prison in the crater which you can use to low-gravity jump up to the tower.
To get to the Prison, you need to go to map reference H8 and land on the northeast tower - the Battle Star will be on the corner.
If you need a hand with the challenges, we’ve got guides on where to search F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letters, as well as how to follow the Tomato Town treasure map and find the location it depicts.
Throughout all of the matches you’ll need to play to uncover every new secret in Fortnite Season 4, you’ll be gathering XP and Battle Stars that count towards challenges. You’ll need them too. To complete the Carbide challenges you have to reach Season Level 65, and to finish the Omega challenges you not only have to get to tier 100, but Season Level 80 as well.
