Fortnite Season 7: start time, theme, iceberg rumours and more
Season 6 is drawing to a close and players are wondering when Season 7 is due to begin in Fortnite.
Players have already spotted an incoming snow storm which, alongside skins such as A.I.M., gives the impression that we’ll have a high-tech, snowy map for the next few weeks. An iceberg is just visible through the snow clouds, so maybe we’ll see it tear up the map a la Kevin the Cube.
Let’s take a look at what might be coming in Season 7 in Fortnite.
Fornite Season 7 start time
Fortnite Season 6 will end on December 6, so we're expecting Season 7 to start then.
The Season 7 teasers will begin on Monday, with more information being released every day, so keep your eyes peeled for news.
Fortnite Season 7 theme
Season 7 is going to have an icy theme, with snow already falling on the map.
A wintery theme has been confirmed for Season 7 with the first teaser from Epic Games showing a menacing character in an ice crown. If you look closely, you'll see a someone on skies heading down his crown, so we can expect skis or snowboards to feature in Season 7.
The second teaser features a cat-like ice person on a snowboard, with another person on a zip line in the background, accompanied by the words "A frigid day dawns".
The latest tweet reads “Ascend to new heights”, showing a skin with claws on a zip line. There’s also a plane in the background, which adds another exciting new vehicle to Fortnite.
Fortnite Season 7 rumours
As we said earlier, Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything about Season 7, we’re just having a bit of fun speculating about what’s to come.
A new Creative Mode will hopefully be coming in Season 7, allowing players to make their own personal islands and host private Battle Royale matches.
Given that many of the challenges this year have revolved around jumping through hoops, over gorges etc, we might see some ski-jump or snowboarding activities this Season. Zip lines also seem to be a thing and a plane has been featured in the most recent teaser, so no doubt there will be a few challengings involving these new modes of transport.
Twitter user @FNLeak posted a game file that reportedly showed that Tilted Towers would be destroyed, possibly by the iceberg ahead.
There’s also the rumour surrounding the A.I.M. robot. The image shows him having just landed in the Battle Royale map with a parachute, looking at the map. He could be calling in some robot pals as reinforcement, leading players to wonder if a new Limited Time Mode could be coming.
Another interesting discovery posted on Reddit shows that, if you look closely at the iceberg, you'll see a castle turret you can see poking out of the top. It looks like the iceberg is indeed going to crash into the map, bringing with it a new area.
