Fortnite kicks off its tabletop takeover with Monopoly launching this October
Fortnite's monopoly over every gaming platform extends to tabletop with the announcement of Fortnite Monopoly.
Not content with dominating the world of video games, Fortnite is heading to a tabletop near you this October 1 in the form of Monopoly. Epic Games' worldwide creative director, Donald Mustard, announced the news in a tweet sharing the final art for the game board.
"Thrilled to show you the final art and game board for Fortnite Monopoly! It’s so so fun and such a unique spin on the classic game mashed up with last player standing Fortnite. In stores Oct 1st!!!" he tweeted.
While passing Go ditches cash for HP, players can still find themselves in jail, so it's comforting to know that the penal system still exists to toss you in the clink, even in the world of Fortnite.
Locations like Dusty Divot, Paradise Palms, and Tilted Towers pepper the board, and there's nary a house, hotel, old boot, or pile of counterfeit cash in sight.
Player tokens look to be cards depicting skins from the game slotted into plastic stands.
Presumably you'll be able to pick up the game at any high street and online retailer, but no doubt Epic will share more details closer to release.
