Fortnite: take a look at the new sword and a bunch of cool Xmas skins
Update: Epic Games has confirmed the ice sword is the next weapon to be added to Fortnite.
As it's teased as "coming soon" we'd expect it to turn up in tomorrow's patch. Take a look at it here:
Original story: Season 7 has just begun in Fortnite, and there will be some Christmas themed skins coming soon.
These skins will be available on the item store for a limited time, so let's take a look at what you can spend your V-Bucks on.
The Nog and Yuletide skins are both available alongside a matching glider, the Cosy Coaster.
Fans have been speculating whether Sgt. Winter and The Ice King have the same swords, but there are some minor differences. The Ice King's sword glows blue, whereas Winter's sword has a blue light going down the middle.
The swords have a very similar design, so it might well be that the sword is a reactive item that will glow brighter with each successful kill or if the player survives for a certain period of time. A set of sword noises was datamined, showing two distinct noises for each action, which backs up the theory.
Reactive skins and items are popular among fans, so it'll be interesting to see what Epic Games has in store for us in Fortnite Season 7.
