Former Valve writer Chet Faliszek joins Surgeon Simulator dev to direct a co-op action game
Chet Faliszek, one of the most recognisable faces of Valve, has a new gig at I am Bread, and Surgeon Simulator maker Bossa.
Faliszek, and Bossa announced the move earlier today. The veteran writer will serve as game director on an unannounced project.
It'll be a co-op action game for PC that's "trying to do something new in the narrative space using AI." Unfortunately, details about the new game are very slim, but the premise does sound exciting.
Interestingly, the new game will not in fact be a VR title, though Faliszek was quick to point out that he has other VR side projects going. Faliszek was the face of HTC Vive and Valve's VR push since its inception, so this makes sense.
Chet Faliszek announced back in May that he had left Valve after 12 years at the studio. The news surprised many at the time, but made more sense over time in the context of other Valve veterans' departures.
Bossa Studios' London, and Seattle locations are both hiring for the new game.
