First gameplay from Warhammer 40K Diablo-like Inquisitor – Martyr revealed

Although it's become challenging trying not to lose count of all announced Warhammer 40,000 games, there are few higher-profile ones that we're looking forward to the most.

Inquisitor - Martyr is among those, and it's developed by Neocore, the studio behind the King Arthur and the Van Helsing games. The game is an isometric action-RPG with a very interesting mechanic for destructible environments. This tech allows you to gradually chip bits off cover as you shoot it.

Martyr was at E3 2016, which is when the first proper look at gameplay was shown off. Thanks to the Gamespot video below, we get to see how Space Marines would work in this genre.

The combat is noticeably slow, with the character always taking the famous stance before firing. The Bolt Pistol seems to be your main weapon for ranged weapons. For close range, the Chainsword comes in handy, though its swings could use a bit more speed.
