First expansion pack to Elemental called Fallen Enchantress

Stardock has detailed the first expansion pack for Elemental: War of Magic, titled Fallen Enchantress.  It will be free for anyone who purchased the original game before the end of 2010.

Fallen Enchantress comes with new areas which, according to BigDownload, "can't be settled until your characters deal with the threats inside them".

The Bhinadmi Fissure, a chasm that spawns demons and earth elementals, was used as an example. Apparently you have to dispose of these nasty creatures before players can found a city. Naturally. Who would want to live in such a place anyway, ya know.

Stardock also said more spells and equipment will be added with the expansion, as well as giving players new champions with different ways of using magic.

Fallen Enchantress is slated for Q2 this year with a price to be determined for those who purchased the game in 2011.

The developer recently hired author Dave Stern and Civ V’s lead designer Jon Shafer to work on the title.
