First Darksiders II screenshots unleashed by Game Informer

Game Informer has released the first screenshots from Darksiders II.
The screens show the game's hero Death, some of his weapons, and his awesome horse, Despair.
There's also some very large serpents represented, which according to the magazine, are used to "transport a giant airship throughout the underworld."

Sadly, the game will be a no-show at E3, but you can check out the first trailer for it here.
Darksiders II launches in 2012 for PS3, 360 and PC.
