There's a pretty hidden fourth story route in Fire Emblem Three Houses, and it's really easy to miss the opportunity to select it. In this Fire Emblem Three Houses Edelgard route guide, we'll be explaining how you can make the decision to ally yourself with Edelgard for the later stages of the game. Be aware that there are story spoilers in this guide"
Edelgard Route
Still here? Excellent. Just below, we'll provide you with some brief steps on how to reach the split in the Edelgard story route:
- Reach Chapter 11 of Fire Emblem Three Houses.
- Choose to explore the Monastery on a Sunday.
- Go and speak to Edelgard in the Monastery entrance hall.
- Pick to join Edelgard in the Imperial Capital, or leave her.
- Going with Edelgard commits you to the fourth story route.
Edelgard Choice
To begin allying yourself with Edelgard for the later stages of Fire Emblem Three Houses, you need to improve your support rank with her. Edelgard's support rank won't actually open up until the month of Verdant Rain Moon, so don't worry if you've spent plenty of time with Edelgard before this, but the support rank hasn't levelled up.
When you enter the month of Verdant Rain Moon, your support rank with Edelgard will increase to rank C. At this point, the path is clear for you to engage in as many activities as necessary with Edelgard to increase your support rank with her all the way up the chain, but all you need to do is increase your support rank with Edelgard to rank C+.
The next significant stage of joining Edelgard takes place in Chapter 11 of Fire Emblem Three Houses. This occurs in the month of Pegasus Moon. During this month, you need to speak to Edelgard one time, and one time only. While exploring the Monastery, you can find and talk to Edelgard in the Monastery entrance hall area of the church.
Edelgard Coronation
When you speak to Edelgard, she'll ask you to come with her to the Imperial Capital. This is the major decision where the story route of the Black Eagles splits in Fire Emblem Three Houses. As the screen will tell you, this choice dramatically affects the rest of the game.
If you want to see the Fire Emblem Three Houses Edelgard route, then go with her to the Imperial Capital. Here you'll witness Edelgard's coronation, and watch her ascent to the throne of the Adrestian Empire. There's nothing more that you need to do to ally yourself with Edelgard after this. You're all set for the fourth story route.
