Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Maquette free for PS Plus in March [UPDATE]
Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Maquette, Farpoint, and Remnant: From the Ashes are coming to PlayStation Plus in March.
News of the games coming to PlayStation Plus in March was confirmed by Sony after an earlier leak.
Original story follows.
Original story: It seems almost certain that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to PlayStation Plus next month.
That's according to a now-deleted post on the Netherlands Facebook page for PlayStation - spotted by Twitter user Nibel - which shows that the PlayStation 4 version of Square Enix's iconic RPG is launching into Instant Game Collection in March.
That's alongside fellow PS4 game Remnant: From the Ashes and PlayStation VR title Farpoint, while the PS5 version of upcoming puzzle title Maquette is also coming to PS Plus next month. That last game is set to launch on March 2.
While this isn't exactly confirmation that this is what March's monthly games are, the fact that PlayStation deleted the Facebook post almost straight away, coupled with news of Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to PlayStation Plus on PSN Japan, it looks almost set in stone.
It looks like folks who download the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PlayStation Plus can't upgrade to the PlayStation 5 edition free of charge, however. That new version of the game was announced yesterday at State of Play, alongside the RPG's next episode, Intergrade.
To date, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has sold more than 5 million copies since its April 2020 release.
News broke earlier this week that Sony was working on a new PlayStation VR headset.
