There's a little confusion as to just how long Final Fantasy 7 Remake is. In this guide, we'll explain that, and also give a list of chapters.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only a remake of the Midgar portion of the original game. This only ran around 8 hours, though the remake adds a lot of new content, to the point where it is definitely a full game in itself. Even with that clarification, many are confused as to how long the game is. We'll answer that, and also give a list of all of the chapters below, so that you can plot your course through FF7 Remake.

How Long is Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Final Fantasy 7 Remake will take you between 40 and 50 hours if you take on absolutely every side activity. We ran through the game in 45, did all of the side missions, and had time to explore. This was at normal difficulty. Obviously on easier or harder difficulties the playtime will be slightly different.

Is Final Fantasy 7 Remake the Whole Game?
As we mentioned previously, Final Fantasy 7 Remake does not remake the whole of the original game. It is just Midgar, taking what was a less than 10 hour experience and building it up to a 45 hour one. The rest of the story will be released in separate games. There is currently no timeline for this.
