Final Fantasy 15 will launch in 2016: more information coming in March
There were hints of a release date reveal for Final Fantasy 15 at PAX this year. That didn't quite happen, but the window has been narrowed down.
As reported by IGN, game director Hajime Tabata has confirmed that the game will launch in 2016, and that more information will be revealed at a special event in March of that year. This is about what we expected, although it's some consolation, at least, that the game is less than 16 months from releasing.
It has also been confirmed in the same IGN report that Final Fantasy 15 will appear at the Tokyo Game Show, where further information on two characters, Luna and Regis, will be revealed.
Final Fantasy 15 has had a long road to release. It was initially announced as Final Fantasy Versus 13 back in 2006, before eventually being unveiled as Final Fantasy 15 at E3 2013.
