Final Fantasy 15 DLC outside the Season Pass is something the team will "certainly do"
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata discussed more than just the game having a combination of both open-world and linear gameplay.
In the interview, Tabata discussed how the six downloadable add-ons included in the Season Pass wasn't the only post-release content the team had planned.
“That’s not everything," he said per Gematsu. “Those are what we’ve announced, something we’ve decided that we’ll certainly do.” The magazine also asked if content outside what's included in the Season Pass would cost extra, he said there's "a lot right now that isn't clear."
"If we decide to make downloadable content outside of the Season Pass we’re currently selling, then that will be the case," said Tabata.
He also said there would be new downloadable costumes made available and there were plans to "increase the cooking repertoire."
"Right now the top priority is polishing the main game," he said. "Once we can be finished with that, I think we can get up to speed on downloadable content and VR content. And by the way, Episode Prompto is different than the [PlayStation VR] content content we announced with the Season Pass.”
In other words, the Episode Prompto add-on included in the Season Pass doesn't contain the same content as the E3 2016 PSVR demo which also starred Prompto.
Final Fantasy 15 will be released worldwide on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, after originally being slated for September 30.
