Final Fantasy 14's first updates detailed, over a million unique log-ins since launch
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn's first updates were discussed during a speaker session at Tokyo Games Show last week. The patches will add new dungeons, housing items and more. Get the full details here.
Siliconera was present during the session, which was presented by director Naoki Yoshida.
He revealed that several new dungeons are inbound, including the Final Fantasy 3-inspired Crystal Tower, which is so tough it will require around 24-players to best. Two existing dungeons are getting hard modes
Customisable player homes are coming to all three cities, along with 380 new pieces of furniture and decorations. There's also a beauty parlour coming that will let you change your hero's hairstyle.
New PvP arena The Wolves' Den is also on the way, and it'll throw two teams of four players against each other in battle.
There's a new Primal battle that will see players taking on the Good King Moogle Mog. Some Primal fights are also getting a difficulty increase as well, along with new daily quests and a treasure hunting mechanic.
Since the MMO launched on August 28, some 1,080,000 unique log-ins have been tracked, according to Yoshida. That equates to a daily average of 617,000 unique log-ins taking place, with the height of concurrent players hitting 344,000.
