Final Fantasy 14 end game events in progress

Just a reminder that Final Fantasy 14 in its current incarnation is rapidly approaching its final moments.
As previously reported, the MMORPG will go offline on November 11. For those who stayed faithfully on board, a series of finale events kicked off today; the main storyline will end just as the servers go offline.
Billing ceased at the end of September, progress will not be saved after November 1, and new sign ups are not currently accepted.
It's not yet clear when the updated game, Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, will come online; alpha testing has begun.
