Final Fantasy 14 Duty Finder helps players find parties

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn includes a tool for helping users find parties and instances appropriate to their level and role.

According to an English summary of the latest producer's letter from Naoki Yoshida, the Duty Finder includes an option to join a party that is already in an instance. In this way, if someone drops out of a raid, the Duty Finder will help find a substitute.

Otherwise, players can browse available instance content and trigger matchmaking; once a party is full, all players will be teleported to the instance.

Players can sign up for a specific instance or use the level sync feature, which adjusts the players stats appropriately - although it doesn't have any equipment requirements.

Finally, players can set a language preference.

The producer's letter covered a wide variety of subjects. If you have a spare, oh, two hours, you can it in video form, in Japanese, below.

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is due on PC and PlayStation 3 in August. You can still apply for the final beta testing phase.
