Fifth Fallout: New Vegas dev diary talks about The Strip
Bethesda and Obsidian released another developer diary for Fallout: New Vegas today.
This one discusses the iconic Strip in the city, and Wayne Newton even makes a very brief appearance in it.
The developers talk about how important it was for the team to get "the look" of it right. According to lead artist Joe Sanabria, "this is where we put most of the work in terms of design".
The video, posted below, goes on to talk about how big The Strip, and how everything in it matches the massive scale of the area.
There's also a lot of debatchury on The Strip, with drunken soldiers walking around from casino to casino "walking around in drunken stupors, puking on the sidewalks, dancing naked in fountains, that sort of thing."
Bout like the real Vegas then, minus the soldiers. It looks rather awesome, really.
There's also a nice Q$A over on the US PS Blog regarding Hardcore Mode, morality, combat and more. You should check it out.
Fallout: New Vegas releases on October 19 in the US and October 22 in the UK for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
That's next week! Hurray.
