FIFA 21 out in October, free upgrade confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X
FIFA 21 is coming to current-gen consoles alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X, EA Sports announced this evening.
During its EA Play Live showcase, EA Sports gave us our first look at FIFA 21 which is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
This year's release on next-gen will feature "blazing fast load times," deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, off-ball humanization, and more.
EA Access and Origin Access Basic members will be able to try the game starting October 1, and Origin Access Premier members will get full access to play.
You can also pre-order to get early access to the game along with other incentives. More information on all the pre-order offers is available here.
The game will also take advantage of the Dual Entitlement scheme, which means, like Madden 21, you can upgrade your PS4 or Xbox One copy to PS5 or Xbox Series X, respectively, at no extra cost.
The annual sports title will be released on October 9. It will come to Google Stadia this winter.
