EA shares first look at FIFA 21 on PS5 and Xbox Series X
Our first ever look at FIFA 21 on next-gen consoles comes in the form of a couple of screenshots.
EA has today published the first official look at FIFA 21 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The next-gen version did not produce a gameplay trailer, rather just two screenshots.
The new images were shared on Twitter, and they show Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix.
These are really only headshots of the two players, not wide enough to show crowds or the rest of the stadium. Nevertheless, there's a clear upgrade to texture quality. Sweat and veins also appear to be more pronounced.
So far, EA has been surprisingly succinct on details about the next-gen version of FIFA 21. We do know it will feature upgraded lighting and faster load times, but we've yet to see any real gameplay of it running on actual hardware, or really get a comprehensive breakdown of everything players can expect.
The next-gen version of FIFA 21 releases December 4, so expect more details to be shared soon. If you already own FIFA 21 on PS4 or Xbox One, you'll be able to upgrade your copy for free until the release of next year's game.
With that in mind, only Ultimate Team and Volta progress will carry over across generations, not your career save.
