FF Type-0 JP launch: New media, disc swap detailed, moving onto VXIII

Ahead of Final Fantasy Type-0 launching in Japan on Thursday, more details have come out before release, including new assets, how disc swapping works and fully moving into development of Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Andriasang has a fuckton of new shots from the game, based from various sections of the RPG, from characters, monsters and chocobo breading to airships, abilities and various cut-scenes in the story.

With the game coming in two discs, Japanese magazine Dengeki detailed how disc-swapping works. Disc one will contain its prologue, first chapter, last dungeon and final chapter, while disc two will have everything else and multiplayer.

In an interview with Dengeki, director Hajima Tabata said that while its contents pass by quickly, it will still be of value.

In its review, the magazine scored the game a 90, 90, 95 and 90.

Now with Type 0 out of the way, focus has turned upon finishing PS3 exclusive Versus XIII. This, obviously, makes director Tetsuya Nomura "excited."

"I'm a bit excited because once Type-0 is done, it's finally Versus' turn," he told Dengeki.

Type-0 is out on PSP in Japan on Thursday.
