Far Cry 5's next live event, Arcade Dawn, starts today
Far Cry 5's latest event starts today, and will likely be tied to the Arcade.
A mere two weeks after Far Cry 5's successful launch, Ubisoft is already diving into the game's second live event. While details are light, the event is called "Arcade Dawn", which means we should expect a new challenge based on the game's Arcade mode.
Live events are community-based missions with a special objective for players to complete. Last week's was "Well Done", challenging players to set as many animals on fire as possible using specific methods. Successful players unlocked a Prestige flamethrower, while the entire community obtained a new outfit.
Meanwhile, Far Cry Arcade is a special toolkit where players can design and publish their own Far Cry 5 maps. Presumably the Arcade Dawn challenge will be about playing or designing custom maps - or possibly just setting those maps on fire as well? Regardless, we've released a guide on our favorite Arcade maps to check out when the event begins.
Of course, Ubisoft hasn't just been supporting Far Cry 5 with live events in recent weeks. The publisher recently put out a hefty title patch with extensive bugfixes and tweaks.
Far Cry 5 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Arcade Dawn event will run from April 10 to April 17.
