Far Cry 3 multiplayer beta - "privileged access" granted to Uplay members [update]
Far Cry 3's multiplayer beta will have "privilege access" granted to Uplay members, Ubisoft has told Videogamer; however, the official Far Cry 3 Twitter account has said the information is inaccurate.
According to Videogamer, Uplay's brand development manager, Alexandra Andrieux, told the site during Ubisoft's digital days event there would be "programs for our Uplay members to have privileged access to the beta when the game launches."
The site said Andrieux was speaking of North American customers, where previously, the only guaranteed access to the beta was through pre-ordering Ghost Recon: Future Soldier via GameStop.
Whether European Uplay members will be granted auto-access to the beta as well was not mentioned at the time.
Today, the official Far Cry 3 Twitter account (thanks, dex3108) called the information "inaccurate," stating: "We'll have beta recruitment details once we've announced beta dates."
So, that's that then.
Far Cry 3 will release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 November 29 in Europe, November 30 in the UK, and December 4 in the US.
