Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is getting remastered as part of the Far Cry 6 season pass

If you're more of a fan of the Far Cry spin-off game: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, you'll be pleased to know that Ubisoft plans to remaster the game as part of the Far Cry 6 Season Pass.

Yesterday, during the Ubisoft Forward event, the French publisher confirmed that we'll be able to play as Vaas, Pagan Min, Joseph Seed via the Far Cry 6 Season Pass, confirming rumours we'd heard earlier in the day.

But that's not all you'll get if you pick up the Season Pass. The company has also teased a remastered take of the sublime Far Cry 3 DLC, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, will be included, too.

Blood Dragon will be "fully loaded in a Classic Edition" and will give you a chance to try out the standalone game if you've never played it before, or revisit its neon-drenched, synthwave-loving setup if you have.

The DLC was a massive success for Ubisoft when it launched back in 2013; it sold over 1,000,000 units and received some killer reviews, too.

If you're eager for more Blood Dragon on top of this chance to revisist the classic DLC, you're in luck: Netflix and Ubisoft recently spilled the beans on more animated projects coming to the streaming platform soon, including Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.

This show takes the Far Cry spin-off and pads out its sci-fi universe. Adi Shankar (executive producer on The Grey, Dredd, and Netflix’s Castlevania) helms this project and notes that it’ll span myriad Ubisoft IP.

“Ubisoft allowed me to create a new Universe for them that acts as a ‘Blood Dragon remix’ of all Ubisoft properties,” Shankar wrote in a tweet. “Think Captain N: The Game Masters but good .. or the Bootleg Universe short films without copyright infringement!”
