Fallout 76 microtransactions currency is called Atoms, can only be spent on cosmetics
Bethesda has revealed a few more details about Fallout 76's microtransactions currency, Atoms.
Atoms is the other currency in Fallout 76, but unlike bottle caps, it's the one you'll be able to buy using real money. Atoms are also earned in-game by completing tasks.
In an interview with Major Nelson, Bethesda's Pete Hines said that the game will "throw Atoms at players" all the time. Even if you choose to buy them using real-world money, you're still limited to what Atoms can purchase in-game.
Atoms can only be spent on cosmetic items like skins and outfits. Bethesda previously confirmed that Atoms can't be spent on SPECIAL perk card packs.
The Xbox One version of the game also comes with 500 Atoms.
