Fallout 4 - How to Get the Marine Combat Armor
Is the Marine Combat Armor the best in Fallout 4?
This guide will show players exactly how and where they can get the Marine Combat Armor that was introduced with Fallout 4: Far Harbor.
Fallout 4 is all about customization for players. You can mix and match armor and weapons to create the perfect combination for your play style. In fact, there has been a great deal of debate as to whether or not there is any armor in the game that could be considered better than the rest. Well, with the release of Fallout 4: Far Harbor, it appears that the debate has been temporarily resolved. The Marine Combat Armor that players can collect with the latest DLC appears to provide better defense than any other gear besides some of the Power Armor in Fallout 4. Today, we’re going to show you how to get a complete set for yourself.
Fallout 4: Best Left Forgotten
Before you can get the miscellaneous quest that will lead you to the Marine Combat Armor, you must first have access to the Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC. Once you’re in Far Harbor, progress the story to the point where you must complete a quest called Best Left Forgotten. This will see you infiltrate the Children of Atom and access DiMA’s memories. Do so, solving all five of the puzzles and then heading back out into the Far Harbor wasteland.
Find the Marine Combat Armor
Once you’re outside you can pull up your Pip-Boy and browse to Data, and then Quests. If you scroll to the bottom of your active quests, you’ll see one called Miscellaneous. If you toggle that active, you can then browse through the quests and choose the Show on Map option for Find the Marine Combat Armor Shipments. Make sure you aren’t tracking any other quests, causing you to wander off to a waypoint that isn’t necessary right now. Below are images of the loactions that you have to visit to collect the armor.
If you’re fairly new to Far Harbor, you likely don’t have a lot of fast travel options available, but you should have a couple. Look at the three waypoints on your Pip-Boy map, and then fast-travel to a location near one of them. All you have to do is visit each of the three waypoints, diving under water and collecting the Marine Combat Armor from each container until you have a full set. If you want to make life a bit easier on yourself, you can simply walk along the bottom of the ocean in your favorite Power Armor. Although it can get a bit wonky, each shipment can be obtained while in the Power Armor under the water. To speed things up, you can fast travel back out of the water instead of trudging along the ocean’s floor again.
The Complete set of Marine Combat Armor is as follows;
- Assault Marine Armor Helmet
- Assault Marine Armor Chest
- Assault Marine Armor Left Leg
- Assault Marine Armor Right Leg
- Assault Marine Armor Left Arm
- Assault Marine Armor Right Arm
Players can modify this armor at any Armor Workbench, but it’s pretty good out of the box. Now that you have all of the Marine Combat Armor, you should collect All Five Islander’s Almanac Magazine Issues in Fallout 4: Far Harbor.
