Fall Guys raises $1 million for charity SpecialEffect, announces the four winners getting in-game costumes
Fall Guys' SpecialEffect charity drive is over, and four winners will be immortalised through in-game outfits.
Last month, right around the time Fall Guys started blowing up and getting noticed by brands, developer Mediatonic decided to turn this attention into a force for good.
The developer promised to create in-game outfits for any brand/individual that donates the most to UK charity SpecialEffect. That bidding war is now over, having raised $1 million.
Fall Guys developers will now get to work on four new costumes representing G2 Esports, Aimlab, streamer Ninja, and YouTuber MrBeast - the winners of the contest. The game's official Twitter account shared the news earlier, confirming that the studio's artists will soon start collaborating with each respective winner on the design of their costumes.
Fall Guys has now sold over 7 million copies on Steam, and became the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game ever.
At gamescom Opening Night Live, we got a brief look at the medieval-themed Fall Guys Season 2, due to kick off in October.
