F1 2017 announced, coming this August for PC, PS4, Xbox One
F1 2017 has been officially unveiled, and classic cars are returning.
Codemasters has announced this year's official F1 game, F1 2017. This 2017 iteration is due for release in August on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
F1 2017 will include a "deeper" career mode, and multiplayer enhancements. The more interesting features are in the form of the new Championships game mode, and the return of some classic cars.
Some of these historic cars, such as Alain Prost's and Senna's 1988 McLaren MP4/4, Nigel Mansell's 1992 Williams FW14B, and Barrichello and Schumacher's 2002 Ferrari F2002, are shown off in the announcement trailer, which you can see above.
"Classics were incredibly well received when we included them in F1 2013, and in F1 2017 they are back and better than ever," said game director Paul Jeal.
The press release said that classic cars will be integrated into the main career mode through invitational events that let you drive these cars in the season. As a pre-order bonus, all Day One copies of the game will come with the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, which will be available for purchase as DLC later.
F1 2017 is out August 25 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
