Export your Dance Central songs to Dance Central 2

If you're a bit of a Dancing Queen and were looking forward to transferring your songs (and killer routines) from Dance Central to the sequel, we have some good news - and some bad news for you. New information from Microsoft says that you will be able to do exactly that - but you'll have to pay for the privilege.

It's not a massive fee, but the 400 MS Points (roughly £3.40, US$5) is a bit cheeky, isn't it? You've already bought the content from the publisher, and now you have to pay again to transfer it across? Nice double dip there, MS!

If you object to handing Microsoft any more of your hard-earned points, there's a clever way around it. Certain "participating retailers" are taking part in a pre-order deal, which will net you - wait for it - 400 MS Points for free just for purchasing the game in advance. Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop have all signed up - check your preferred gaming emporium to find out more.

The cheapskates will just have to put up with swapping discs over, which means they'll miss out on a game with the potential to have more than 100 songs in its library, each one paired with some pretty impressive dance moves. Your call.

(Thanks for pointing that out, CVG!)
