Exo One is an indie game which takes you on an interplanetary journey through space and time
Exo One, a gravity-defying, interplanetary journey through space and time, is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced yesterday during the Xbox Indie Twitch showcase, the Exbleative-developed title Exo One has you traversing through a desolate alien landscape using gravity and momentum to reach speeds and heights.
You will ride thermal updrafts into boiling cloud formations, fly down hillsides and launch off mountain tops as you are constantly drifting toward a shining blue beam on the horizon.
Exo One is being developed by Exbleative (aka, Jay Weston), with help from Rhys Lindsay (music, code) and Dave Kazi (code). Weston started out as a game artist then a game designer working on such games as Powerslide and Dirt Track Racing. Weston then teamed up with ex-Ratbag programmer Saxon Druce on Zombie Outbreak Simulator and Class 3 Outbreak before developing his own solo creation, Unknown Orbit. This game is his second solo endeavor.
The game features an array of open worlds to explore, ranging from traditional terrestrial planets to water worlds and to gas giants. You are charged with pilot an alien probe featuring multiple movement modes. You can roll, glide and fly, with control over gravity and use these movement modes to build momentum, slide down dunes and catapult off hilltops.
You will be able to wind down and travel at your own pace as there are challenges, wars, or enemies, and the story tells of man's first, ill-fated mission outside the solar system.
