Evolve: first cinematic trailer shows our heroes looking somewhat outclassed

Evolve sprang upon us this morning in such splendid glory that we somehow managed not to post the first official trailer. Of course, we've got Stace's comprehensive preview from his hands-on with Turtle Rock's new co-op shooter, and Sam's gameplay footage with developer commentary, but sometimes you just want to watch pre-rendered characters stalking about in a forest before potentially being eaten alive.

To the tune of a lovely cover of Danzig's Mother by Lissie - this is what that teaser was about, then - our heroes stalk the foist on the lookout for their prey. Despite all their posturing with weapons they certainly look like typical gamers to me, since they totally fail to find their foe until it is far, far too late - the monster player has already grown enormously in power. Good luck to you, brave hunters, ah ha ha.

Evolve is expected on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the third quarter.
