EVO co-founder predicts fighter community will love Spy Party

Former Capcom community manager, champion competitive gamer, and EVO co-founder Seth Killian was intrinsic in getting Chris Hecker's Spy Party to the annual fighter tournament.

"I'd even be willing to make a gentleman's bet with you that an EVO attendee will be your No. 1 player in subsequent tests, and take down whoever the existing top players might be," Killian said of his expectations of the competitive title's welcome among fighter fans, according to Joystiq reports.

In the same article, Hecker expressed his hopes for the game's potential importance as an eSports scene.

"Seth and I have talked about my goals for SpyParty to be a game that can eventually be counted among the most intensely competitive player-skill games we have, games like Counter-Strike, Starcraft, LoL, Dota and Street Fighter, and he's been really supportive of that goal," Hecker said.

Spy Party is a two-player game in which one players tries to spot another among a crowd of AI characters. It will be the crown jewel in EVO 2012's indie showcase.
