Those who attended Evo 2019 may have been exposed to the measles
Hopefully, you've had a measles shot, especially if you attended Evo 2019.
According to the Southern Nevada Health District, via Polygon, a guest at the Mandalay Bay and Luxor Hotel during the August 1-6 period had a case of measles.
Considering Evo 2019 was held during the same time period, August 1-3, any attendees who stayed at the hotel could have been exposed to the virus.
Evo representatives told Polygon they had not received any reports of attendees being affected, but are looking into it.
The annual fighting event was held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which was not mentioned in the SNHD report. It's unknown whether it was an Evo attendee who had the measles or just a visitor to the Luxor Hotel and Casino and its sister property next door at Mandalay Bay.
Either way, if you stayed at one of the hotels, or visited one of the areas in Las Vegas noted by the SNHD, be sure to keep an eye out for symptoms. If you have had the measles vaccine, you should be okay.
