The EVO 2017 Championship lineup features new games and tournament regulars.
EVO 2017's game lineup has been announced and this year's tournament will feature nine games.
Eight titles are confirmed with the ninth being left to a fan vote. Here's the main lineup:
- Street Figher 5
- Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2
- Super Smash Bros. Wii U
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Injustice 2
- BlazBlue: Central Fiction
- Tekken 7
- The King of Fighters 14
The remaining title can be voted for by donating to a charity fundraiser. The games up for the vote are:
- Mortal Kombat XL
- Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
- Skullgirls
- Pokken Tournament
- Killer Instinct
- Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
- Arms
- Windjammers
- Nidhogg
The Sunday finals in the arena will include the fan voted title alongside Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, and Super Smash Bros. Wii U.
The confirmed list features some brand new titles as well as old favourites like Smash Wii U and Melee that are making their third consecutive appearance at the event. Some of last year's titles that didn't make the initial cut can be voted back in, like Pokken Tournament, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat XL, and Killer Instinct. Although Nintendo's newcomer Arms would be fun to see in action.
As it stands, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has raised the most money with over $3,500, while Mortal Combat XL is trailing behind the competition with only $35.
The tournament is being held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas between July 14 - 16.
