EverQuest II braces for November server-merge
SOE's confirmed that it's to start merging EverQuest II's servers, beginning November 16.
Sixteen shards will be affected, although, as Massively notes, more popular servers such as Antonia Bayle, Lucan D'Lere, Nagafen, and Crushbone are not among them.
EQII producer Dave Georgeson said the process will take "many weeks," but that "bigger population density on a server is just simply more fun for everyone involved, so it's time to get it done."
The fantasy MMO has been running since 2004.
SOE is currently working on DC Universe Online for release on PC and PS3 early next year.
