European free-to-play launch of Lineage II coming December

Publisher Innova has confirmed Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction will launch in Europe in early December, with localised versions in multiple languages to follow throughout early 2012. The expansion brings plenty of new content but also heralds the game's transition to free-to-play after seven years of subscriptions.
Lineage II is one of the most successful of the "smaller" MMORPGs, with a steady user base of around 500,000. Its transition to free-to-play may signal news of sequel Lineage III, which has spent some months in Vapour land.
