Euro morning news bulletin – March 11, 2011

It's Friday. It's the weekend. Go nuts. Here are your headlines.

  • Xbox 360 and Call of Duty: Black Ops dominated the NPD charts once more, coming out on top for the month of February. 360 seen 535,000 units moved during the month, seeing it have its biggest non-holiday month ever. Black Ops has now also become the biggest-selling game of all time in the US.
  • An injunction that saw LG block the importing of PS3s in Europe has been lifted, meaning as much as 300,000 units have now been set free. LG is to pay €130,000 in damages to Sony on the matter.
  • EA Games Europe VP Patrick Soderlund has said that a 256-player limit for Battlefield 3's multiplayer is possible, but says it's "not fun."
  • Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard has said that Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion "sacrificed" what made predecessor Morrowind so special.
  • Dragon Age II is out today. Edge has given it a six. It's also given THQ/Kaos shooter Homefront a five. That's out next week. Make of that as you will.
  • Funcom's released a new trailer for The Secret World, as well as new screens. It follows showings of the MMO last week at GDC.
