Eric Brown resigns as EA CFO

Eric Brown has resigned as EA's chief financial officer, Gamasutra's reporting, with his next move being outside the games industry.

Brown's last day at the publisher, according to the report, is next Friday, February 17. It's not clear why he has resigned, with EA not responding to requests as of now.

His new employer is US comms firm Polycom, according to Develop.

"I am delighted to join Polycom at such an exciting time," he said in a press release issued by his new employer."

Chief accounting officer and senior VP Kenneth Barker will take over as interim CFO.

Brown returned to EA as CFO in 2008 after a previous spell as COO of its Redwood Shores studio in 1998. Before he rejoined EA three years ago, he was CFO of McAfee and MicroStrategy.
